Tourist for a Day

Mom was busy with Relief Society today
and I needed to catch Grandma and Grandpa
before they left on our trip, so I went to Jackson
and pretended I was a tourist for a day.

One of the Moulton Barns on Mormon Row.

 Schwabacker's Landing

I noticed that Grand Teton has implemented
Obama's new budget deficit reducing plan.

Mount Moran at and in Oxbow Bend

Fished for a few hours at Spaulding Bay.
Only thing biting were the cutthroats
and you can only keep one over twelve inches,
so after I ripped the lips off a few, I gave it up.
I'll go back in November when it's colder
and the Lake Trout are closer to the surface.

 Near Menor's Ferry.
I stopped at the country store
for a homemade gingersnap
baked in the woodstove,
and a bottle of Sarsaparilla.

Old Elbow Ranch near Beaver Creek

On the way home, I was reminded why this creek
in Snake River Canyon is called Red Creek.
