Yesterday Amy amd Jim hiked to Ski Lake on Teton Pass.
The wildflowers are finally getting started.
I believe the Columbine are my favorite.
This is Ski Lake. It is three miles from the highway.
We were looking for a shorter hike so we could
get home a little earlier, but when we got to the lake,
Grandma Amy could not stop, so here we go:
This is one of the springs that fed the lake.
Looking down on Ski Lake.
Another spring that cascades to the lake.
Unkown little purple flower.
Getting up into the snow again.
Looking down on a small pond that is half frozen over.
Jackson Peak to the left of the tree.
I believe that is Gros Peak near Turqoise Lake
that you can see in the background.
Another pond. I think that these would normally
be dry by this time of the year.
Luke, here's another snowball for you.
I understand the first one didn't make it.
Get it in the freezer a little quicker.
We are at about 9,000 feet here.
These pretty little yellow flowers pop out
before anything else in the higher elevations.
North side of Glory Bowl.
This is where we ate lunch and turned back.
You can see Snow King in the background.
