Grandma Amy's Trip to Alabama

I had a fun trip to Alabama this past week to see Jennie and her family. Jennie and I had a nice time shopping at the Galleria Mall in Hoover, Alabama on our way to Montgomery Saturday morning. Hoover is where Sarah and Derek used to live. Saturday afternoon I played with the boys and watched BYU football with Corey. I enjoyed going to church with everyone on Sunday. Monday, Jennie had to work, so Corey took the boys and me to the Air Force base and showed me all around. The boys and I spent Monday afternoon playing at the park, going out to lunch and playing "Sorry." Monday evening we had a great home evening. Drew taught the lesson on "The Tree of Life." He worked hard to prepare a special lesson. Tuesday morning we went to "The Pumpkin Patch" where we had a fun time together. Thanks Jennie, Corey and boys for a special few days.

"Happiness includes all that is really desirable and of true worth in pleasure, and much besides. Happiness is genuine gold, pleasure but gilded brass, which corrodes in the hand, and is soon converted into poisonous verdigris. Happiness is as the genuine diamond, which, rough or polished, shines with its own inimitable luster; pleasure is as the paste imitation that glows only when artificially embellished. Happiness is as the ruby, red as the heart's blood, hard and enduring; pleasure, as stained glass, soft, brittle, and of but transitory beauty.
