Yellowstone

Jared was out of school Friday for the hunting holiday so we went to Yellowstone to see what we could find. We stayed in West Yellowstone Thursday and Friday night. Friday we went up the Lamar Valley in the northeast corner of the park to Cooke City, Montana. I don't think we had ever been there before. It was a beautiful drive and we saw lots of animals.

The only wolves and grizzlies we saw were actually

in the Discovery Center in West Yellowstone,

but it was quite interesting.

We saw this moose in Grand Teton Park

on the way home. I think it's the biggest

bull moose I have ever seen.

Nice bear couch.

We saw lots of waterfalls.

Near Mammoth Hot Springs.

1. Take time to always be at the crossroads in the lives of your children, whether they be six or sixteen.

"Happiness includes all that is really desirable and of true worth in pleasure, and much besides. Happiness is genuine gold, pleasure but gilded brass, which corrodes in the hand, and is soon converted into poisonous verdigris. Happiness is as the genuine diamond, which, rough or polished, shines with its own inimitable luster; pleasure is as the paste imitation that glows only when artificially embellished. Happiness is as the ruby, red as the heart's blood, hard and enduring; pleasure, as stained glass, soft, brittle, and of but transitory beauty.
