50 Miler !!!

Yesterday we did our 50 mile bike ride in the park.
Megan and Calvin and their family were with us.
We started at the Taggart Lake parking area and rode
to Colter Bay and back. Calvin had a flat tire before
we started and had to return to Jackson for a tube, so
Amy, Jim and Hannah started out, and Calvin caught us later.
Jim had a flat tire between Jennie Lake and Signal Mountain,
but Amy had a spare tube that fit, and we we were able
to fix the flat and continue on our ride.

Amy and Hannah at Jennie Lake.

Hannah and Amy at the north Jennie Lake junction.
Hannah did great and rode for twenty-five miles.

Thanks Megan and Gracie for driving our support vehicle.

Gracie, Landon and Hannah at Colter Bay.

We stoppped for lunch and a rest at Colter Bay.

Landon rode the five miles from Jennie Lake to the Taggart
Lake parking lot. We now had gone 52.5 miles. Jim stopped
and picked up his truck and Hannah took over for Landon
and rode with Calvin and Amy to the Moose vistor's center,
where they stopped with 55.5 miles. That's right,
fifty-five and a half miles. It was a beautiful day.

Good Job! That looks like fun, and it looks so beautiful. Makes me miss the mountains.

Hey, real biker -- come go with us. We'll show you a real bike ride. I do carry my own spare tire, but it's not one you could put on a bike.
