Hike of the Week - July 24

Yesterday we hiked from the Goodwin Lake
trail head to the top of Jackson Peak (10741 ft.)
Jim had an Optometry meeting in Jackson
Saturday morning, so we hiked in the afternoon.
It was ten miles round trip with a little over
2700 feet verticle climb. It was a beautiful day
and the views from the top were amazing.

Resting at Goodwin Lake.

Looking down on Goodwin Lake
from the top of Jackson Peak.
The Sleeping Indian is in the background.

Southeast view from the top.
Granite Creek is just over the big
mountain in the background.

Nice view of the Tetons.

On the way back to town, we saw these Mountain Sheep
playing on the cliffs in the Elk Refuge.
