2010 Annual Jennie Lake Bike Ride !!!

Saturday we made our annual bike ride to Jennie Lake.

We missed lots of our regular riders, but we had

a great day anyway. The weather threatened a storm,

but the blizzard only lasted for a few minutes

and it turned out to be a beautiful day for a bike ride.

Hannah made the whole ride - about eighteen miles.

Landon started out strong and probably actually went

farther than any of us - sideways and around in circles -

so part way he hitched a ride with Calvin and Gracie.

Megan, Jared, Amy, Jim and Samantha made an extra

lap so Amy could get in her twenty-five miles.

Time for a snack and a rest !

Law abiding citizens obeyed all the road signs.

We were happy to have Sam visit for a few days.

She was on her way to spend the week with Aunt Laura.

Happiness is genuine gold, pleasure but gilded brass, which corrodes in the hand, and is soon converted into poisonous verdigris. Happiness is as the genuine diamond, which, rough or polished, shines with its own inimitable luster; pleasure is as the paste imitation that glows only when artificially embellished. Happiness is as the ruby, red as the heart's blood, hard and enduring; pleasure, as stained glass, soft, brittle, and of but transitory beauty.
