Teton Dam Marathon

For the second year, Saturday, June 12th, members of our family
entered the Teton Dam Marathon as a relay team. This years
runners were Troy, Sarah, Jared, Amy, Calvin and Megan.
Carbing up at Craigo's on Friday night.

Troy "volunteered" to be the first runner and left at 5:00am
to catch the bus to the starting line at the Teton Dam.
Here is the rest of the team trying to wake up while
waiting for Troy at the first transfer point at mile 4.

Sarah is warming up and getting ready
for her five mile section. The road behind
her will soon be the long road ahead.

Here comes Troy. He gets the team
off to a real good start again this year.

Here comes Sarah.

There she goes.

Jared ran the next section.

Jared is breaking in brand new shoes???
They are doing great so far.

Amy is smiling past the farm........

.... and through the town of Teton.

Amy had a strong head wind for the last mile or so.

Jim cheers Amy to her finish as she hands off to Calivin.

Calvin is off !!!

Calvin "volunteerd" to run Derek's hill
this year. He did a great job and ran
past several runners on the way.
Derek kept his and Sarah's, and Calvin
and Megan's kids Friday evening while
we checked out the course and again
on Saturday during the race.
Thanks Derek !!!
I think I would rather run the hill.

Calvin is finished and cheers Megan up her hill
as she starts her 5.2 miles to the finish line.

Here comes Megan.

You're doing great Megan. It's all
down hill (on the average) from here.

Megan gets a great view of the Rexburg Temple.

Here comes Megan across the finish line
accompanied by her whole team.

Great job !!!
They finished in fourth place in the co-ed relay teams
with an unofficial time of 3:55:05.
See you next year.

Saturday, June 12th, was also Amy and Jim's
35th wedding anniversary.
We enjoyed celebrating with our family,
and hope to keep running for another 35 !!!
