St. George

Amy and Jim went to St. George for the weekend

to spend a few days with Grandma.  We took advantage

of the opportunity for a hike in Snow Canyon.  It got 

pretty warm for us Star Valleyites, but we had a nice day.

 We started by walking up a dry sandy creek bed

to an area called The Three Pools.  Well the pools

 were pretty much dried out, but we hiked up

the canyon beyond what these two fools figured

 must be the three pools. We went as far as possible

and then took a "short cut" back to the trail head.

Amy had me in a few places that were a little

steeper than what I am normally comfortable with. 

  

 The scenery was beautiful,

 and so was my hiking partner.

 "Wait up"

 "Hurry up"

 The cactus plants were blooming.

 They were real pretty,

 and taking a few photos is a good way

to sneak in a little rest.
