Yesterday Amy and Jim took Grandpa Dee
fishing on Snake River below Jackson Lake Dam.
Amy guarded the boat whilst Grandpa and I
shuttled the truck to the get out spot.
Instead of floating clear to Pacific Creek,
we decided to stop along the way and only
go as far as the old cattleman's bridge.
We used an anchor in a few spots and stopped
in a few others along the way.
Look close for Mount Moran in the haze.
Look close for Mount Moran in the haze.
The smoke from the wildfires blocked our view
of the mountains early in the day, but as the day
went on it cleared and was a beautiful day.
Grandpa rode in front and ran the anchor.
If you look close, you can see Mount Moran
in the notch between the trees.
We caught a few fish. Amy had one real nice one,
but I forgot to get a picture before Dad had them
all cleaned and put away.
