Remember the Alamo !!!

Monday we flew from Des Moines, Iowa

to Texas and spent a few days with Jennie,

Corey and their boys. Monday was Drew's 10th

birthday and we had a birthday dinner near

the Riverwalk in San Antonio. Tuesday we

spent the day at Sea World, and Wednesday

we visited the Alamo before driving to their

home in San Angleo. Friday we flew from

Midland, Texas back to Salt Lake City.

Corey tried to ring the bell, but found out he needs

to eat more spinach. I think it was rigged.

Amy and Jennie are on this ride.

They are upside down in the back.

They were the only ones silly enough

to do this to themselves.

We visited the Alamo and then went to the I-Max

theater to learn more about the history.

It was very interesting.

This is Jennie and Corey's home in San Angelo.

This is Charles, the family squirrel.

He was caught red handed, stealing

the stuffing out of the lawn chair pillows.

"Happiness includes all that is really desirable and of true worth in pleasure, and much besides. Happiness is genuine gold, pleasure but gilded brass, which corrodes in the hand, and is soon converted into poisonous verdigris. Happiness is as the genuine diamond, which, rough or polished, shines with its own inimitable luster; pleasure is as the paste imitation that glows only when artificially embellished. Happiness is as the ruby, red as the heart's blood, hard and enduring; pleasure, as stained glass, soft, brittle, and of but transitory beauty.
