Springtime in the Tetons

We put the skis up and got the bikes down, because
we thought it was spring.  Here we are last week
at North Jenny Lake Junction.  It was a little wet,
but we were the only ones on the road and it really
was quite pleasant. About halfway from the junction
to String Lake the slush got too deep and we had
to turn back. We rode eighteen miles for our first ride.

Today was a beautiful clear day, but the temperature
was a little nippy. The high was 37 degrees.
I forgot our tools and air pump and we were a bit
nervous to go too far north, so we made three
laps around the Jenny Lake loop and got a total
of thirty-five miles. It was a great day.

Look how deep the snow is still.
When (if) this melts, I am afraid we are going
to flush Idaho to Portland, Oregon. I hope
they can grow potatoes on the new delta.

A little slick in a few spots along the lake.
