Yesterday we went for a little bike ride.

It was a beautiful day for a ride.

We started at the Blackrock Ranger Station

at the bottom of Togwotee Pass.

This is the Oxbow Bend of the Snake River
between Moran and Jackson Lake.

We stopped at Signal Mountain for a break.

Top of the hill and time for a break.

No break needed.

We rode into String Lake and stopped here

at the Jennie Lake overlook.

Beaver Creek.

Jared drove the support vehicle, served as photographer

and kept us posted on the football scores.

One of the funnest parts of the ride was on the new

bike path between Jennie Lake and Moose.

Rest stop at the Chapel of the Transfiguration, before

the final stretch of the ride to Jackson.
When we pulled into Grandma and Grandpa's,

the odometer read 50.6 miles !!!

Happiness is genuine gold, pleasure but gilded brass, which corrodes in the hand, and is soon converted into poisonous verdigris. Happiness is as the genuine diamond, which, rough or polished, shines with its own inimitable luster; pleasure is as the paste imitation that glows only when artificially embellished. Happiness is as the ruby, red as the heart's blood, hard and enduring; pleasure, as stained glass, soft, brittle, and of but transitory beauty.
