Phelps Lake

Today we hiked around Phelps Lake
in Grand Teton National Park
with Dennis, LeeAnn, Emily, Curt, Andrew,
Sam, and Billy.
It was a great hike with beautiful scenery
and the weather was just right.

I think this is the biggest Douglas Fir tree
I have ever seen.
The boys resting.

This was a big rock over looking the lake.

Last week we celebrated our 34th Anniversary !!!

Andrew was a little trooper and walked and ran
the first four or five miles, but he ran low on gas
and hitched a ride with his Grandpa.

Looking good after six miles.

Only another mile (or so) to go and
it's all down hill (on the average).

Andrew is out of gas.

We saw two different cow moose with new born calves.
We were up the hill and across the creek from these,
but the first pair on the trail was a little spooky.
