The house is Grandpa and Grandma's--just getting built above ground??
In 1954 it can't be the new 1957 Ford.....maybe a 1946 light green Plymouth??

This is me in the spring of 1954. You can tell it is April because of the snow on Gros Ventre Butte in the background. Here I am the same age that Halle is right now.
I am in Ward's front yard and the basement house is Mom and Dad's. Back then they built what they could afford and then added on later. This was a comfortable home. The kitchen was what is now Mom's laundry room and the living room is now the largest bedroom. There were two bedrooms and a bathroom. The entry was on the north at the top of the stairway. Later they took the roof off and added what is now the main floor and we moved upstairs in 1958 when Paul was a baby.
The car behind the dirt pile was Dad's 1950 Studebaker (sweet car). When Dennis was in High School he painted it yellow and had it in the parade with the Beatle's "Yellow Submarine" playing on the eight-track. Of course the eight-track was not original equipment as it wasn't available until the mid-sixties.
